abstract sculpture

This abstract sculpture is called “Wings of Freedom” and it is an expression of the deepest human desire for freedom. Crafted from 304 stainless steel, the sculpture takes on the shape of a birdcage, but unlike a traditional birdcage, it is not covered by a top. Instead, it combines the concept of freedom with the form of restriction.
At the bottom of the sculpture is a high-gloss mirror, which, like a mirror, reflects the surrounding environment. It is a presentation of the real world, a kind of reflection on the reality in which people find themselves. The upper part of the sculpture, however, is a warm brown color, symbolizing inner longing and hope. This contrast skillfully blends the real world with the inner world, leading the viewer into a deeper level of reflection.
With a height of 2 meters and a diameter of 0.8 meters, the sculpture is not huge in size, but the connotation it expresses is far-reaching and broad. It is not only a work of art, but also a kind of spiritual support, a kind of yearning and pursuit of freedom.
The birdcage is a symbol of imprisonment and restriction, while the uncovered top of the sculpture implies the possibility of freedom. The viewer can feel a strong emotion of desire to break free and pursue freedom. The brown part of the sculpture seems to show a kind of natural growth, symbolizing inner strength and resilience, as well as the relentless pursuit of freedom.
Wings of Freedom does not simply express an idealized state, but hopes that the viewer, through comparison and dialogue, will think deeply about the true meaning of freedom. Perhaps freedom is not about getting rid of all the constraints, but about finding inner peace and strength in the midst of difficulties; perhaps freedom is not about changes in the external environment, but about an attitude and choice in the inner world.
